No need to ever order a take away pizza online or on the phone again, just take a trip to Aldi
Appearance and Packaging
The box is a mixture of nice colours with the brand name and also the name of the product itself clearly displayed.
Also mentioned is the fact that a garlic and herb dip is included in the box
The only dislike I have about the packaging is that there is no window on the front of the box so that you can see the pizza or part of it
Product Test
Removing the pizza from the box, the presentation of the pizza is great, it is topped with a very generous amount of mostly mozzarella and also cheddar, the cheese needs tidying up once you remove the plastic packaging around the pizza, personally I remove most of the cheese on the pizza as I find it kind of dry and does not melt as well as the pack of grated mozzarella I use as the replacement for the cheese I remove, maybe it has something to do with this pizza containing cheddar, however that does not mean it makes it a bad pizza, far from it, the cheese it comes with still melts well, the blend of mozzarella and cheddar goes nicely together
The cheese within the stuffed crust is amazing, it melts just enough that it is not too runny or not too much like a piece of rubber but in fact is nice, stringy and stretchy cheese that makes the stuffed crust taste just as good as the rest of the pizza
The pizza base itself is nice and tastes like they have used a good quality pizza dough
The garlic and herb dip I would personally not recommend, but who is going to buy this pizza for the dip? Thats right, nobody, and personally when I use a dip with this I use Snackrite Sour Cream and Chive dip which goes with the pizza much more nicely
Verdict
This pizza costs £2.49 and it may not beat a take away from Pizza Hut, or it may do, in my opinion it comes close to a pizza from Pizza Hut, but would you rather spend about £10 more on a pizza from Pizza Hut or spend £2.49 on this which tastes great, has a crust that is stuffed full of cheese, and once removed from the oven makes for a great meal for one of those nights when you fancy a nice treat.

They have recently changed the recipe on these and now they taste cheap and bland. Not good Aldi!
ReplyDeleteWorst pizza I've ever bought - it sticks like super-glue to the baking tray and tastes very bland. The stuffed crust is pointless because by the time you've got it off the tray it's so mushed up you have no idea what bit you are eating!
ReplyDeleteDisgusting disintergrated cooking will never ever buy this again

ReplyDeleteNasty cheap taste thing sticks to the baking tray and falls to pieces rubbish
ReplyDeleteCompletely crap.
ReplyDeleteSticks to the trays and tasteless. Dough too crispy.
Iceland all the way...sorry
Shite
ReplyDeleteSticks bad. Comes out looking like mosh
ReplyDeleteMiddle fell out tastes like slop I thought the stuffed crust would have a hot dog or something nope just watery bbq sauce
ReplyDeletePut it on tray and the dough was still raw after 35 minutes, event it said it would be cooked in 17-20 minutes rediculous and when took it out its its fell apart no taste and looked like a pile of mush on your plate, this was the stuffed crust double pepperoni and chorizo pizza. Never again will we buy it.
ReplyDeleteYeah, you get what you pay for. Pretty damn awful. The base tastes like under-baked pastry even though cooked for 15 mins longer than advised. The topping was somewhat sloppy. The stuffed crust was anything but?
ReplyDeleteNot for me 0.5/5 rating

ReplyDeleteI thought I would try the new diner meat pizza and try to cook it for twice as long as recommended as it came out sloppy last time, stood in the kitchen for way to long, got upstairs, same messy slop as the BBQ one I tried last time, horrendous! Never ever again!!! So angry...
ReplyDeleteThinking this would be cheap and cheerful but it's just cheap. More than half of it is stuck to pizza tray 😂
ReplyDeleteI have bought carlos pizza fully loaded. There is nothing on the top. It is loaded but full of bulls**t.
ReplyDeleteCheese pizza my a**. Taste like flour and nothing else..there's no cheddar, no elemental.or mozzarella on this pizza. It's disgusting and I'm not a fussy eater. But I will never buy Carlos pizza again.
